It’s a beautiful day at Nub’s Nob with light winds and great snow quality thanks to a few fresh inches of yesterday. Today is a Regional Ski Meet hosted by Petoskey and Harbor Springs Ski Team. Come cheer on these high school athletes as they compete on Smokey, Scarface and Valley today. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

It’s snowing! The forecast is calling for about an inch of accumulating snow this morning with light winds and comfortable ski temperatures. Conditions for skiing and riding continue to be excellent. The Deli on Pintail Peak is open today and NASTAR Racing is available from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

Scarface is open to competitors in tomorrows Regional ski meet only this morning.

Two inches of very light snow fell on top of the corduroy this morning. This fluffy snow on top of the groomed snow should make for very good skiing today. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. Harbor Springs will host an LMC meet tonight at 5 p.m. on Smokey and Scarface.

An inch of fresh snow landed at Nub’s Nob last night. Over a foot of new snow has accumulated at Nub’s in the past few days and conditions are very good. Sunshine is forecasted today and it looks like another excellent day for skiing and riding. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

It looks like a beautiful ski day at Nub’s this morning with 5″ of fresh snow since yesterday morning! Conditions on the slopes and cross country trails is mid-winter excellent. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today. We will not race NASTAR today as we are hosting the Nordica Winter Rally with over 250 junior club racers on Birch Run and JB Arena.

It feels like a winter wonderland at Nub’s this morning with 3″ of fresh snow overnight and its still snowing! This fresh snow tilled into our substantial base should make for a superb snow surface today. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today, we will then close from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to re-groom most of the slopes for night skiing. Night skiing is from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight. Nastar Racing today only from 12:30 to 2 p.m on Birch Run. Patrick Ryan will perform in the Nub’s Pub from 3 to 6 p.m.

It’s a cold start to the morning at Nub’s Nob but there is more fresh snow and conditions continue to be very good for skiing and riding. The forecast is calling for more snow to fall during the day. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today, we will close from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to re-groom most of the slopes for night skiing. Night skiing is from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight. Speed Series continues tonight at 7 p.m. with a GS down Smokey.

Three inches of snow landed at Nub’s Nob since yesterday morning. This new snow is very light and will make for an excellent snow surface. Most of the beginner runs have been groomed a second time and the intermediate and expert runs have a few inches of powder on top of the corduroy. Chute and Scarface will be closed to the general public until early this afternoon for Big North Conference ski meet hosted by Petoskey High School. Smokey and Valley will close this evening for a Lake Michigan Conference ski meet hosted by Harbor Springs. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

It’s snowing lightly this morning and the temperature is back to the mid 20’s. Yesterdays thaw followed by an overnight freeze kept the Nub’s Grooming Crew busy last night. Yesterday’s wintery mix of snow, sleet and rain left behind 2″ of snow mixed with plenty of moisture. The Nub’s Grooming Crew put in extra time to get the slopes in the best shape possible for today. Yesterdays thaw was followed by a significant freeze this morning. The award winning Nub’s Grooming Crew is spending extra time tilling this morning to create the best possible ski surface given the temperature fluctuation. The ski surface is best described as corn snow. We are 100% open with all 53 runs. The lifts will spin from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today. We will close between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to re-groom and open for our night skiing session from 6 to 10 p.m.

There will be no league racing for Thursday, January 11 due to rain. This race will not be made up and we will start next week Thursday with the same flight order.
