October 1 – Annual Nub’s Nob Open House with demo ski sale, discounts on equipment tune ups, free chair lift rides and a cook out. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will be open to process season tickets at our 10% off sale.

October 10 – Cutoff date for 10% pre-season discount on the best season ticket value in the Midwest! Passes are still available after this date at regular prices.

November 2016

Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24 – Weather permitting, we plan to open today!

Early Season Discount Lift Ticket Period – From opening day through December 9th enjoy the best in early season skiing at reduced rates.

December 2016

Dec. 10 & 11 – United States Ski Association Central Division race weekend on Scarface.  Open to all qualified USSA members. Contact Cathy Janowiak at (231) 510-5455.

Dec. 25 – Come ski with Santa from 1-3 PM on the Bunny Hill! Enjoy cookies from Mrs. Claus at the bottom of the hill afterwards.

Dec. 26 – 31 – Nub’s Nob Alpine Racing (NNR) Holiday Training Camp features 6 days of the best training and coaching for serious ski racers of all ages. Call NNR for more information at 800-SKI-NUBS.

Dec. 26 – Holiday Night Skiing & Riding begins and runs from 6 to 10 p.m. through January 1st with the exception of New Year’s Eve. Our regular night skiing calendar begins on Monday, January 2 and runs every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4 till 9pm and Friday and Saturday from 6 till 10pm through March 11th. We are also open for holiday night skiing on Sunday January 15 and February 20 from 6 till 10 p.m.

Jan. 2 – Night Skiing begins and runs every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4 to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 PM until March 11th. We are offer holiday night skiing on Sunday 1/15/17 and 2/19/17 from 6 till 10 p.m.

Jan. 2 – Nub’s Nob Alpine Racing (NNR) Weekday Night Training begins on Scarface and runs every Monday and Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8 PM through March 8th. Call NNR at 800-SKI-NUBS for more details.

Jan. 2 – Nub’s Nob Junior Alpine Racing Team (JART) Monday night training sessions start and run Mondays and Wednesdays through March 1, 2017. 6 – 7:30PM ages 5-14. Call the Winter Sports School at 800-SKI-NUBS for more details.

Jan. 2 – Labatt Adult Race Leagues start. 35th year of fun league racing continues every Monday, Wednesday

Jan. 4 – Petoskey High School Ski Team BNC Conference ski meet begins at noon on Smokey and Scarface.

Feb. 19 – Our Annual Demo Ski Sale begins!  Take advantage of the best pricing anywhere on our slightly used but not abused 2016/17 demo ski fleet.  All skis come fully tuned by our Wintersteiger Mercury machine and include a binding adjustment to fit your boots and a release test.  This is a great way to update your skis with top shelf gear at bargain basement prices.  Visit our web page for a listing of our Demo gear and get here early as the skis go fast!

March 2017

March 3 – Volkl/Marker/Dalbello Speed Series. 7:00 PM GS Racing on Scarface. Seven race series open to advanced skiers age 9 and up. March 4 & 5 – United States Ski Association Central Division Region III races on Race Arena.  Open to all qualified USSA members. Contact Cathy Janowiak at (231) 510-5455.

March 4 – The 54th Annual Nub’s Nob Open – Northern Michigan’s premier slalom racing event. Top to bottom World Cup style slalom racing on Birch Run and Smokey. $8 entry fee. This race also counts for participants in the season-long Volkl/Marker/Dalbello Speed Series.

March 4 – Enjoy entertainer Patrick Ryan in Nub’s Pub from 3 to 6 PM.

March 5 –  The Dynastar/Lange Challenge – Giant slalom racing for skiers of all ages and abilities. $8 entry fee. Sponsored by Skis Dynastar and Lange ski boots with a grand prize drawing for a pair of Dynastar skis!

March 5– “Beat Your Parents” race and Ski Academy/JART Picnic – The local favorite “Beat Your Parents” head to head GS race and picnic party on Birch Run for our Ski Academy and JART participants, parents and coaches. 2:30 PM start.

March 11 -The 4th ANNUAL HEAD BANKED SLALOM – A very distinctive turn fest on a very unique course. All are welcome from skiers to boarders and our free heel friends. The motto of this inimitable race is “RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG!” $10 entry fee. Sponsored by HEAD Skis with a grand prize drawing for new HEAD Skis!

March 11 to 19 – Canadian Discount Period: Pay for your full day lift tickets using Canadian currency (does not apply to credit card sales, good on lift tickets only) and we’ll accept your cash at par! Don’t forget that kids 9 to 12 ski for only $10 on non-holiday weekdays when accompanied by a skiing parent (the above discount does not apply to this ticket) and kids 8 and under ski for free when accompanied by a skiing adult.

March 12 – Volkl/Marker/Dalbello Speed Series Race. 9:30 AM. Super G Racing on Sno Pro. Championship final in 7 event Series. Open to advanced skiers age 9 and up. Series and Championship awards to top 3 finishers in this Super G, Age/Gender classes and Overall follow this race.

March 18 – Mardi Gras: Our annual family orientated Spring Fling with fun and games for all. Don’t miss the Soaker Cup, Costume contest, Crazy Couples and Dorie Sarns Open races and the Petoskey Steel Drum Band on the deck!

March 19 – The annual Nub’s Nob Telebration returns featuring a fun day filled with demos, tele turns, swill and chill for all our free heel friends. Contact Josh Baker at (231) 526-2621 for info and registration.

March 20 – Late Season Spring Discount Period Begins: Come enjoy the best in Michigan spring skiing & snowboarding at reduced rates through the end of the season.

March 20 – Spring Ski & Ride promotion begins! Your lift tickets are included in your lodging rate when you stay at one of the participating properties in the greater Petoskey/Harbor Springs area.
