Enjoy the thrill of team racing for skiers and boarders of all abilities. Handicapped scoring allows all racers to contribute to their team with an emphasis on self-improvement. Join an existing team or start your own. Race League begins on January 1st with Monday, Wednesday or Thursday night options.
A seven race series for expert skiers ages 9 and up. Series begins Friday, January 5th at 7 p.m. with a GS on Valley. Compete in one race or all seven. Food provided following race nights by individual sponsors. Nightly prizes compliments of Petoskey Brewing Company.
Join fellow XC skiers Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. beginning January 3rd for a night of nordic fun, fundamentals and food! Meet in the Brown Bagger room. Alternating classic and skate and nights, the first week begins with classic skiing. This event is free, but a trail pass is required. All season passes are valid for cross country trail system. Non-season pass holders can buy a discounted trail pass for just $8 for the evening.
Alpine race training for junior and adult racers looking to improve speed and technique. If you are a racer looking to improve for high school, Adult Race League, NASTAR, Speed Series or USSA we can help bring your skills to the next level. Weekend training begins as soon as weather will allow. Weeknight training begins Wednesday, January 3rd. Training on Monday and Wednesday nights 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday sessions 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Geared toward skiers in elementary and middle school. Our highly skilled coaches will introduce the great sport of alpine racing, work on fundamental skills needed to become successful racers and teach appropriate gate techniques and tactics. Training begins Wednesday, January 3rd. Training will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sundays noon to 1:30pm.
For over 37 years Nub’s Nob Ski Academy has been teaching new skiers and and boarders fundamentals to have fun on the slopes for years to come. Skiers learn in groups of 6 with the same instructor each week. Each lesson grows from the last lesson with the goal of providing the most effective outcome of learning to ski while having fun. Skiers are introduced to all aspects of the ski area, including race, terrain park, bumps, and powder. The Ski Academy is where a lifetime of fun begins. First night of Academy begins Wednesday, January 3rd.
NASTAR was developed to provide recreational racers of all ages and abilities with an opportunity to compete and to compare their scores to friends and family regardless of where they race. The NASTAR handicap system is a standardized scoring program that provides participants with a tangible number that represents their ability. NASTAR racing is available Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sign-up at the front desk or at the top of the race hill. Two runs for $6.00 and each additional run is $1.00. One medal per race day for competitors earning a medal
