What Will This Season Be Like?

There is a buzz in the air as we anticipate the beginning of ski season at Nub’s Nob. We are excited to welcome you back to the slopes and want to answer some questions about what the ski area will be like as we continue to deal with the on-going pandemic.

Outside: Skiing and riding will essentially be “back to normal.” No face coverings will be required this season and we plan to fully load our chairlifts to help with congestion at the bottom of the lifts. However, if you prefer to ride the lift alone this is no problem and we are happy to accommodate you.

Inside: Customers will not be required to wear face coverings this season. If you are feeling ill we ask that you please delay your visit. The Nub’s Nob Crew will be wearing face coverings indoors. The Lodge, Nub’s Pub and Pintail Peak Lodge will be open for indoor dining. At this time we are not planning on live entertainment in the pub as it would take away space from an area that is already limited on seating capacity.

For skiers that would prefer not to dine indoors, the Winter Garden deck has been improved this season. We added sliding glass doors to easily access this space. To make the Winter Garden more comfortable there are now three fire pits and the entire patio space is outfitted with snowmelt.

In the locker room we are again asking locker holders to store all gear in their lockers and to not leave bags on the floor. Crockpots and other food should not be brought into the locker building in an effort to keep this space clean for all locker holders.

It is possible that on busy days certain areas like the Rental Building, Nub’s Pub and General Store may reach capacity. At these times we will ask guests to wait outside until there is room.

Bahnhof Race League will be back to normal this season with the exception of buffet style food which will not be available.  We will have food specials in the cafeteria provided in individual portions every league night.

These rules may change, but hopefully this outline helps you as you prepare for a winter of skiing and riding at Nub’s Nob. We can’t wait to see you back on the snow!
