29 Nov Snowmaking Update for Nov. 29
The weather over the first half of this week brought reliable snowmaking conditions, allowing our Crew to put some fresh snow on much of the frontside and begin building base on Pintail Peak. On Wednesday morning we made the decision to shut the guns off for the time being. While temperatures were appropriately cold, the high humidity meant that the quality of our snow would diminish. As soon as we can make more of the Midwest’s Best, we will. Nighttime lows look favorable in the coming days, with a drop in temperatures overall forecast for next week.
Nub’s Nob will be open on the Front and Southside Slopes this Saturday and Sunday from 9-4:30, and we will open for the season on Friday, December 7th. Think snow, and wish our snowmakers good luck as they finish off a world-class job.
