HEAD Banked Slalom

The HEAD Banked Slalom

WHAT: This race is a unique free format event open to racers with any downhill equipment: alpine skis, snowboards, or telemark.  The course is specially built for this race with large, banked turns.

REGISTRATION: Participants may register any time through 1:00 at the front desk or the top race shack on Birch Run.

ENTRY FEE: $10.00.  No refunds (does not include lift ticket).

DIVISION: Ski, Snowboard (no age groups), and Free-Heel (no age groups)

FORMAT:  This is an open format race and competitors will race in the order they arrive at the top of the hill. Each racer is limited to two runs.   Racing begins at 11a.m. Everyone gets two runs, but only their fastest run counts.

SCORING AGE GROUPS (Ski Only): 8 & under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-20, 21-40, 41-59, 60+. This is an open format race and competitors will race in the order they arrive at the top of the hill. Each racer is limited to two runs.

AWARDS: The awards presentation is held in the back cafeteria following the event.  Age group medals go to top three male and female for all ski division age groups.  Snowboarders and free-heelers will battle it out for top three males and females in each discipline.  The awards ceremony is in the back cafeteria following the event.

RAFFLE: HEAD Skis will have a give-away at the awards ceremony, which will be held directly following the event.  Must be present to win.
