The very best way to learn winter sports at any age. Private lessons give you 100% attention from your individual instructor and focus exclusively on your skills and development. This is our most popular lesson for every sport we teach.  Please check in for lesson 15 minutes before it begins.

The best way to improve or learn winter sports at any age. Individual instruction that focuses on your development exclusively. Start your youngster with a private lesson and they're a skier or snowboarder for life. Winter Sport Schools instructors excel in one-on-one lessons that maximize your progress and time on snow. The 1 & 1/2 hour private lesson is the Winter Sport Schools specialty. Learn something new!  Snowboarders take a park & pipe lesson.  Try Telemark skiing!

Lessons begin at 9am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm and 3:30pm Daily

Night lessons go out every 30 minutes 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:30pm and 7:00pm.

Children's Lessons:
What's the best way to start my child skiing or snowboarding?  Private lessons!

Skiing for the first time is one of the most exciting experiences a child can have, and we want to make it valuable!  Parents who want their kids to ski or snowboard can insure their success for years to come by starting with a private lesson. At Nub's Nob we start every child with one-on-one private instructors because those "pick-up-sticks" group lessons just don't work for young skiers or riders.Think of teaching one 4-year-old how to catch a ball or play a musical instrument versus a group of 4-year olds. Which 4-year old learns to catch a ball or where middle C is first? Keeping children aged 2 to 7 years old interested takes individual attention. Our goal is to create lifetime skiers and snowboarders. There is no more effective way from a learning, safety or cost standpoint than one-on-one. Anyone 2nd grade or younger who cannot stop on command, load, ride and get off the chairlift without assistance must start with a private lesson. Remember, the best way to guarantee a life of winter fun is to start your child one-on-one with a teacher in a Winter Sports School Private Lesson.  Please check in for lesson 30 minutes before it begins.

Children's Private Lessons - Ski or Snowboard

• 1 1/2 hr. per child $70

Teaching kids to ski and ride one at a time - this is how every youngster at Nub's Nob gets their start. We start 'em young with their very own instructor. Hands-on, one-on-one lessons are the best and only effective way to insure that your child will ski or snowboard their entire life and do it right from the start.

Private lessons are required until your youngster can stop on command, load, ride and unload our BigTime purple double chairlift without assistance and be able to put their own equipment on. You must have an instructor with your child on the chairlift and the slopes until they can perform all stopping, turning, chairlift and equipment skills safely by themselves.

Childrens Group Ski Lesson:

    Nub’s Nob Pandas – Ages 5 to 7 years

Quality Ski lessons for younger skiers - Groups are a maximum of 5.

• Half-Day Nub’s Pandas – 10:00 to 1:00 pm or 1:00 to 4:00pm        $65
  • (Includes 2 hour lesson, snack break and lunch)
• Full-Day Nub’s Pandas- 10:00 to 4:00 pm                                      $120
  • (Includes 2 hour lesson in the am, 2 hour lesson in the afternoon, snack breaks, lunch and indoor play time)

Nub’s Nob Pandas is a group learn-to-ski and learn-to-ski-better program designed specifically for children ages 5 to 7years old, and is offered in a half day or all day program.  Children are taught in a group, with a maximum of 5 children, by a Nub’s Nob Winter Sports School certified children’s instructor in a safe and secure manner.  Lessons are aimed at teaching movement patterns used in skiing, stopping on hills, controlled speed, proper turns and chairlift use, while having fun and enjoying the sport of skiing.  We know children progress at different rates so we will group lessons accordingly.   The program begins at 10:00am and 2:00pm each day and includes 2 to 4 hours in lesson, snack and hot cocoa breaks, lunch and indoor activities at Nub’s Cubs if applicable. 

All children 8 and under will receive a lift ticket, program does not include equipment rental.

This program is limited in size and reservations are required.  All reservations must be made at least one day in advance.  Check-in at the Winter Sports Desk at least 1/2 hour before the program begins.

Nub's Kids Club - Children's Group Ski Program - 7 to 13 year olds who know how to ski and want to ski in a group - Groups are a Maximun of 6 students

Young skiers who can stop on command, turn, put on their own equipment, get on, ride safely and get off our BigTime purple double chairlift without assistance can ski with their buddies in Nub's Ski Club 2 hour group lessons! Nub's Ski Club is our athletic, active skiing children's program. After their initial private lessons, where kids learn the basics of stopping and lift riding, many youngsters are ready to head out skiing and learning with new friends under the guidance of our specially trained children's instructors.

Young skiers must be able to stop on command and get on, ride and get off our BigTime purple double chairlift without assistance to qualify to ski in the Nub's Ski Club 2 hour sessions. Nub's Ski Club groups go out weekends and holidays through March 17, 2013. 

Reservations are required. Groups are no larger than 5 skiers, but must have a minimun of 2. Parents are responsible for their children during lunchtime from Noon until 2:00pm if their young skiers are taking 2 sessions a day.  Lunch and childcare options are available, ask for details.  Please check in 15 minutes before lesson begins

• Nub's Kids Club has 2 daily sessions  from 10:00 to 12pm or 2:00 to 4:00pm
• 2 hour group lesson, maximum of 5 students = $55 per session

Nub's Nob Ski Academy - Ages 7 to 14 - Once a week for 8 weeks

• 2 hour lessons, once a week for 8 weeks = $115
• Offered Monday or Wednesday, 6pm to 8pm, starting January 7th or 9th
• Offered Saturday or Sunday, 2pm to 4pm, starting January 6th or 12th

For over 35 years the Nub's Nob Ski Academy has concentrated on fundamentals and fun.  Thousands of kids ages 7 to 14 years of age have mastered skiing with their friends.  Skiers learn in groups of 6 with the same instructor each week.  Each lesson grows from the last lesson with the goal of providing the most effective outcome of learning to ski better while having fun.  Skiers are introduced to all aspects of the ski area, including race, terrain park, bumps, and powder.  The Ski Academy is where a lifetime of fun begins.

Race Clinics:

2 hours = $30 per person          Purchase 4 and SAVE      4 Race Clinics for $100

Clinics are 2-hours long and are designed for racing. This is the best way to learn to race and to improve your skills. Race Clinics are also very popular for families who want the vacation experience they never forget! Race Clinics are held every Sunday through March 3 from 2:30 until 4:30pm.  Sign up at the Winter Sports School Desk.  Improve your NASTAR times and run gates for 2 hours!  Labatt League racers - race clinics are for you!  If you have never raced this is where to start.

Beginner Ski/Snowboard Group Lessons Packages:

Day Learn to Ski or Introduction to Snowboard

Limited to 8 years old to Adult, Beginners Only
Daily  at 9:00 am and 2:00 p.m. ONLY $55 and $35 respectively!  Includes everything you need!

Group Lesson Package - 8 Years old through Adult only Register at the Winter Sport Schools desk by 8:30 am or 1:30 pm.  Get your equipment next.  At 9:00 am or 2:00 p.m. your 1 1/2 hour group lesson begins.  After the lesson you may use your ski/snowboard rental gear until 4:30 p.m.

Free skiing/riding in the BigTime beginners area

Every day Nub's Nob is open you can learn to ski or take your first steps toward snowboarding in this group lesson package that includes all the necessary gear!  Your $55 or $35 includes all your ski/snowboard rental equipment, a 1 1/2 hour beginner group lesson with free skiing/snowboarding in the BigTime beginner area. It's for beginners only.

This is the best Learn to Ski/introduction to Snowboard program in the country. It's fun.

Dress for ourdoor play like you are going to make a snowman.  Hat, insulated jacket, pants and gloves.  Wear only one good pair of tall socks please!  Lessons begin at 9:00am and 2:00pm Daily.

Nub's Nob is open 7 days a week from late November (weather permitting) until early April.

Night Learn to Ski or Introduction to Snowboard

Limited to 8 years old to Adult, Beginners Only
5:30 p.m. every night we're open!  JUST $35.  Includes everything you need.

• Group lesson package - 8 years old through Adult only.  Register at the Winter Sport Schools desk by 5:00 pm.  Get your rental equipment next.  Your 1 1/2 hour group lesson begins at 5:30 pm.  You a use your ski/snowboard rental gear until 9:00 pm (M,W,Th) or 10:00 pm (F, Sa).
• Free skiing/snowboarding in the BigTime beginner area

So easy and affordable. Offered every night we're open. You start at the Winter Sport Schools desk at 5:00pm. Register, fill out the forms, then you are fit with Nordica ski boots and Rossignol skis and snowboard gear. Nub's Nob rental experts will adjust your bindings (they hold you to your skis or snowboard) to the proper size and setting. You're ready to go.  Lessons begin outside at 5:30pm.

Your $35 includes all your ski/snowboard rental equipment, a 1 1/2 hour beginner group lesson with free skiing/snowboarding in the BigTime beginner area.

This is the best, and one of the most affordable, Learn to Ski/Introduction to Snowboard programs in the country. It's fun. Nub's Nob is open for night skiing 5 nights a week with special hoilday nights added.  The night season extends from December 26, 2012 through March 9, 2013.
