Located in the heart of Michigan's ski country, Nub's Nob Ski Area has been delivering "First Class and Friendly Skiing" for more than 50 years.  Consistently awarded gold medals for snow quality, and rated the #1 ski area in the Midwest by Ski Magazine, we're not part of any conglomerate or chain.  We're a family owned operation and skiing is our ONLY business.  No one here has to worry about the golf course in the summertime or whether the maids left the mints on the pillows.  With a high quality focus on family and fun, Nub’s is the local ski area of choice. 

              We have continuously channeled our resources back into the resort and in the last seven years alone have built four chairlifts, expanded the ski acreage by over 60%, increased our snowmaking capacity to 5000 GPM with 250 patented Nubs Nob Snowguns and more than doubled the size of the day lodge.   We augment over 130 inches of natural snow per year with our own patented snowmaking equipment to work along with the Midwest’s most highly decorated snowmaking and grooming Crew to make our 53 runs on 246 acres the best it can be every day.   Nubs is home to the world's largest snowgun -"The Hammer", and this is one reason why we have earned the reputation of "Midwest's Best Snow!" year after year.  People who return each season have come to know us for our quality, friendliness and comfortable atmosphere. 

              In addition to great skiing in a friendly atmosphere, we offer many other features and amenities to help you enjoy your stay including: slopeside condominium lodging provided through Landmasters Realty at (616) 526-2641; our highly acclaimed cafeteria where most everything from soup to doughnuts is homemade; General Store and Ski Shop; lounge; ski rental equipment; ski lessons through our full service PSIA Certified ski school with daily "Nubs Cubs" children's' programs and the best "Learn to Ski" program and facility anywhere; NASTAR racing; daily daycare service; 53 slopes, 8 chairlifts and one handle tow serving the first Superpipe in the Midwest;  Night skiing is available five nights a week beginning holiday week through mid March.  Groomed and trackset cross country skiing is also available on our 16k expert loop, 10k intermediate loops or our 2k lit beginner loop.  Kids 8 and under always ski free when with their own skiing parent and Kids 70 and over ski free everyday too!
