More Award Winning Snowmaking at Nub’s Nob

Harbor Springs, Michigan – While most Midwest ski and snowboard resorts are busy with summer plans, Nub’s Nob announced another addition to their powerful snowmaking system as part of the popular winter resort’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Now totaling 250-snowmaking guns the Nub’s Nob fleet is legendary.  General Manager Jim Bartlett said simply, “We work year ‘round just thinking about how we can make the snow conditions better for our customers.   That’s why the announcement is being made now, so that riders and skiers know we’re already working toward next winter.”

“We have a huge, world class snowmaking system at Nub’s and we continually expand it” said Jim “When running full steam at 20 degrees our patented snow guns would cover the Michigan Stadium football field with 52 feet of snow in just 24 hours!”  What that translates to skiers and snowboarders is a longer season with better conditions than other Midwestern resorts.  Nub’s Nob averages 126+ days of operation each season. 

“Snow is our number one priority”, Bartlett was quick to note “that Nub’s Nob is still the only resort in the Midwest ever voted into SKI Magazine’s Top Ten Resorts in all of North America for anything!  We were chosen 4 times for snow, grooming, value and our Terrain Park.”  With future investments in snow capacity that trend should continue.

“We really put our money on the slopes where it should go” but Jim added, “Without the best snowmaking and grooming crew in the world all these great tools would mean nothing.  The fact that Nub’s Nob is know for “The Midwest’s Best Snow” and grooming is the ultimate ‘high five’ to one of the greatest snow crews in North America.”
